The 4-way stretch, abrasion-resistant Cordura® combined with the adjustable waist offers better performance and increased comfort with the Gravel Tuned Shorts by SCOTT. The elastic waistband has a new, more precise tightening system for a better fit while on the bike.

PFC-frei Produkte, die das Label „PFC Free“ oder „PFC-frei“ tragen, garantieren, dass sie keine per- und polyfluorierten Chemikalien (PFC) enthalten. Diese PFCs sind dafür bekannt, wasser-, schmutz- und ölabweisende Eigenschaften zu besitzen, weshalb sie häufig in Outdoor- und Funktionsbekleidung als chemische Beschichtungen verwendet werden.


Es ist wichtig zu beachten, dass PFCs sich äußerst langsam abbauen und daher über einen sehr langen Zeitraum in der Umwelt verbleiben können. Darüber hinaus stellen diese Chemikalien ein potenzielles Gesundheitsrisiko für den Menschen dar. Laut Greenpeace sind PFCs selbst in entlegenen Bergseen oder im Blut von Eisbären in der Arktis nachweisbar, weit entfernt von ihrer ursprünglichen Quelle.


Einige Hersteller wie Vaude, Jack Wolfskin oder Picture verzichten bewusst auf PFCs in ihren Produkten, um diese Umweltauswirkungen zu minimieren.
