The Blade Runner by CAMP is an ultra-innovative crampon that guarantees both maximum performance and maximum versatility and customisation. It is the reference tool for ice climbing, extreme mixed climbing and technical alpinism.

Thanks to its construction, characterised by an adjustment slide firmly attached to the heel and equipped with a step to improve blocking, transferring the stop to the heel, Blade Runner by CAMP combines the stability and effectiveness of vertical structure crampons with the precision, versatility and ease of adjustment of horizontal structure crampons.

The rear part of the crampon is made of Sandvik Nanoflex® steel, which, thanks to its exceptional resistance and hardness properties, allows the cross-section of the structure to be reduced from 2.75 to 1.80 mm: this guarantees greater lightness and flexibility in the length of the device for perfect adaptation to all soles. The absence of mobile joints, on the other hand, ensures lateral strength and therefore perfect fixation of the crampon - which behaves like a single block - for exceptional performance at the stop.

The improved geometry of the front prongs offers security of movement, precision and comfort in all positions: on the more compact ice walls, for example, in the mono-prong configuration, stability is emphasised by the fixed middle prongs and lower side prongs, which touch down subsequently when the heel is lowered, offering a remarkable "step effect"; conversely, in the more demanding mixed climbing, these prongs allow great freedom of movement without the risk of pushing the main prong away when touching down. The transition to the double prong configuration or the replacement of the ice prongs with hard snow prongs is simple and quick. The hard snow prongs are innovative due to their chisel-like design with a three-sided bevel.

The asymmetric design of Blade Runner by CAMP, and in particular the design of its front part, where the grouped converging and non-parallel prongs favour snow ejection when used without an anti-snow plate, guarantee the same excellent performance in any type of boot and adjustment. The possibility of moving from automatic to semi-automatic bindings should also be emphasised, replacing the new front bar with a bonnet shape that fits all boots, even without an edge. They are now very popular for ascents that require rock climbing without crampons on the feet.

Sandvik Nanoflex® is an innovative steel alloy that is much more resistant and 25% harder than thermally treated chrome molybdenum steel. This allows a reduction in the metal used and results in a remarkable reduction in weight while maintaining the same load capacity.
